End User Agreement
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using this website, including browsing, creating an account, or making a purchase, you (“User,” “You,” or “Your”) agree to comply with and be bound by this End User Agreement (“Agreement”).
If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the website.
2. Eligibility
To use this site, you must:
- Be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement
- Be a current or prospective student, faculty member, or authorized user of Colby Community College
3. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration and at checkout
- Notify us immediately of unauthorized use of your account
4. Orders, Rentals, and Digital Access
- All orders are subject to availability and approval.
- Textbook rentals are governed by our separate Rental Agreement.
- Digital materials (eBooks, access codes) may expire and are often non-refundable once accessed.
- You may not share, resell, or redistribute any purchased or rented content.
5. Pricing & Payment
Prices are listed in U.S. Dollars and are subject to change without notice. You agree to pay all fees and applicable taxes at the time of transaction. We accept approved forms of electronic payment, including major credit/debit cards and student financial aid (if applicable).
6. Returns & Refunds
Our Return and Refund Policy outlines eligible items, timeframes, and conditions. Physical items must be in original, unused condition unless otherwise stated. Digital materials are typically non-returnable.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, including product descriptions, graphics, and layout, are owned by or licensed to Colby Community College and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use or reproduce any part of the site without written permission.
8. Privacy & Data Use
We respect your privacy. Information collected is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
We never sell your personal information to third parties.
9. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use the site for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the website
- Misrepresent yourself or impersonate another individual
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify this Agreement at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date.” Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
We do our best to provide accurate, up-to-date content but cannot guarantee it is free of errors. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Colby Community College is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to your use of the site or products.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the state of Kansas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the appropriate state or federal courts of Thomas County Kansas.
